'This painting came about as the basis for the design for a mural I did for Morawa Senior High School earlier this year. Being the town of Morawa’s floral emblem and a flower I have never painted (nor ever seen painted before) I love to be able to celebrate our local flora in this way as well as to educate both myself and the public that see my work about the many varieties of native flowers we have in Western Australia – especially the lesser known varieties.' - Helen Ansell
