Sun Setting on the Carnabys Print
Art print of an original painting by Helen Ansell.
Sun Setting on the Carnaby's Black Cockatoo (Calyptorhynchus latirostris)
The endangered Carnaby's Black Cockatoo is one of just two species of white-tailed black cockatoos on earth. The other is the Baudin's Black Cockatoo, and they are both found only in the Southwest Australia Ecoregion. Their population has declined greatly in recent decades, mostly due to the loss and fragmentation of their preferred habitats, and they need the support of conservation programs to ensure their survival.
