Botanic name: Xerochrysum bracteatum
A fabulous profusion of large bright golden blooms over several months from late winter to summer. A hardy perennial plant to 1m (3′). Excellent for cut flowers or for drying and preserving.
One of the large group of flowers referred to as everlastings or paper daisies which lights up much of the Australian bushland with a thick carpet of various colours and thrills thousands of visitors from all over the world. Can appear as a vibrant “wave of gold” when grown among wildflowers of contrasting colours, especially whites, purples and pinks. Blends easily into almost any garden setting.
Wildflower Seed Starter granules are not needed to boost germination, but are not harmful.
