Botanic name: Xerochrysum bracteatum (Multi-colours)
A fabulous profusion of large blooms in multiple colours over several months from late winter to summer. A hardy perennial plant to 1m (3′). Excellent for cut flowers or for drying and preserving.
One of a group of flowers referred to as strawflowers which lights up much of the Australian bushland in various habitats with a thick carpet of varied colours and thrills thousands of visitors from all over the world, especially when grown among wildflowers of contrasting colours, especially whites, purples, blues and pinks. Beautifully enhances almost any garden setting.
Wildflower Seed Starter granules are not needed to boost germination but are not harmful.
