Red and Green Kangaroo Paw - Floral Emblem of Western Australia
Botanic name: Anigozanthos manglesii

The most famous of Western Australia’s wildflowers. This unique perennial produces its unusual flowers and stems from late winter to summer in a striking combination of velvet red and brilliant green, from small clumps of grey-green, strap-like leaves. The flower stems to 1m (3′) will attract nectar feeding birds to your garden and are excellent for cut flowers.
