Djilba Season Print
From Djarliny's Noongar Six Seasons collection
'Djilba Season'
"Djilba season is one of the Noongar six seasons and represents the months of August and September. It is the season that is known as the second rain and the 'Season of Conception'. During this season, fire/karl is the source of warmth and the spiritual connection to country/boodja. This season displays a pattern of cool, cold and rainy weather, along with the occasional fine day. The beginning of the Djilba season is cold, however. As the season progresses towards the flowering season of Kambarang, the weather warms." - Djarliny
