Red-tailed Black Cockatoo Tea Towel
Linen tea towel featuring the red-tailed black cockatoo.
The Red-tailed Black Cockatoo is found throughout much of Australia, and is called Karrak by the Noongar people of the southwest. The mainstay of their diet is seeds from fruiting Marri, Jarrah and Karri trees. They also like seeds of acacia, casuarina, banksia, grevillea and hakea, as well as berries, fruits and various insects. Nests are found in large vertical hollows of tall, isolated trees that may be used for many years. A clutch of 1 to 2 white eggs is laid.
